Different Pallets We Supply & Manufacture

Standard Size Pallets

The market in South Africa refer to a standard pallet being 1.2m x 1m and that goes for both 2-way and 4-way entry pallets.

We are not limited to the above standard measurements and can manufacture any size pallet according to your business requirement.

2-Way Pallets

2-way pallets are usually used where heavy packages need to be lifted by means of a forklift. These pallets can only be entered from either the front or the back of the pallet and hence the name 2-way entry pallet.

2-way pallets are stronger than 4-way pallets and tend to be cheaper because to the simplicity in the manufacturing process

Types of 2-way pallets include:

Non-reversible 2-way pallet

Also known as a standard 2-way pallet in the market
They usually have three or four bearer blocks with seven or eight deck slats and three bottom slats
Typical usage would be if you want to transport your product on a open on closed truck where entry is only required from two sides

Reversible 2-way pallet

Also known as a heavy duty 2-way pallet. Typical usage would be for manufacturers that require heavy package loads that need to be stacked on top of each other.
There pallets are not suitable for pallet jack usage

2-way pallet with no bottom slats

These pallets only have deck slats and no bottom slats
Typically used where pallet jack entry is required from two sides only
Can be used in a Warehousing environment

2-way Wing Pallet

These pallets have a 50mm to 100mm wing on the ends of the pallet so that your bearer blocks are closer together
Typically used where heavy loads are required
Suitable for stacking pallet with loads on top of each other

4-Way Pallets

Perimeter Base

Stronger than a non-perimeter base pallet because the bottom slats are connected together by means of perimeter slats
Typically used where the requirement is to be able to use all four sides as entry points on the pallet. These can be because of limited warehouse space

Non Perimeter Base

Usually used as a cost effective alternative to the perimeter base where the load requirement is not much
Suitable for use where pallet jacks are required in confined spaces.

Fully Enclosed Crates (FEC)

Just as the name states, a FEC does not have any gaps on the deck, sides, ends or lid of the crate
Popular choice for export by truck within the borders of South Africa or across border to neighboring countries.
Can be manufactured with a 2-way entry or 4-way entry base depending on client requirement
Can be manufactured with open or closed lid

Slatted Crates

Slatted Crates (SL) are manufactured in a similar way to FEC but wth small gaps between the base, sides, ends and lid
Usually required if cost is a factor because it uses less timber
Required when tampering from the sides of the crate is not such a big issue

Skeleton Crates

Similar to SL crates but with big holes in the sides, ends and lid of the crate
Required for heavy industrial machinery where cost of crating is a factor
